The shafts are great but…

I got two shafts both shoot straight but the cable slip tips however leave something to be desired. Blue water hunting for yellowtail in Mexico First shaft I shot was a complete miss. New gun and all was not to surprised but when I went to reload the cable and tip were completely gone. I switched to the second shaft and tried again. Connected to a 18# yellowtail and when I went to reload the cable on the tip was barely hanging on. I would have expected they lasted longer than they did. Bottom line one broke off and sank to the bottom for no reason and the second barely lasted one minor fight. For the price I paid for them I would have expected a lot more.

Hi Jason,

We just wanted to touch base regarding your review, we value your feedback and appreciate you sharing it with us.

This is the first time we've received feedback that the 'cables suck' and these have been trialled and tested over many years with a lot of success (Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Dogtooth Tuna, Large pelagics). Including just this week with our Team Diver Ant Sercombe shooting a 71kg Dogtooth Tuna in Indonesia and we'd like to understand the issue better. Our goal is to ensure all customers have a positive experience with our products.

Following is a video demonstrating the proper way to secure our slip tips here: https://youtu.be/jro5XvJWQrs?si=GDPfvdFw9LAPMIz5

Once we can work out what has happened we are more than happy to provide another Slip Tip at our expense.

Look forward to hearing back from you,

Cheers,

Travis
