Hand-built spearguns, wetsuits and dive gear shipped fast to Perth and right across WA. Everything you need for the reefs, ledges and bluewater off the Western Australian coast, backed by a lifetime warranty.
Spearfishing gear built for Perth and WA conditions
Perth throws up some of the best and most varied spearfishing in the country, from shallow limestone reef and weed beds close to shore to clear-water ledges and bluewater a short run offshore. The gear that works here needs to handle a bit of everything: moderate visibility inshore, clear days out wide, and a serious class of fish.
For most Perth divers a 90 to 100cm railgun is the sweet spot for reef and ledge work, with a longer roller earning its place once you head into clearer water after bigger fish. Pair it with a titanium-lined wetsuit to stay comfortable through the WA seasons, and a set of quality fins to cover the ground.
Every Aimrite gun is hand-built in Cairns and backed by a lifetime warranty, and we ship Australia-wide with fast dispatch, so your kit reaches Perth and regional WA quickly.

Where to dive around Perth
Rottnest IslandClear water, reef and ledges a short trip from Fremantle. Mind the sanctuary zones.
Perth metro reefs (Marmion, Hillarys, Trigg)Limestone reef and weed beds. All three sit inside Marmion Marine Park, where spearfishing is prohibited within 1,800m of the shore — boat access only, on breath-hold, outside the sanctuary zones.
Rockingham & ShoalwaterSheltered bays and islands that suit newer divers. Shoalwater Islands Marine Park is zoned — breath-hold spearfishing is allowed in the general use zone only, and the sanctuary and special purpose zones are closed. Check the zoning map before you enter the water.
Two Rocks & YanchepReef systems north of the city, outside the Marmion Marine Park boundary, with a shot at bigger fish.
Mandurah & the southCoastal reef and ledges within easy reach of the city.
WA marine park zoning is strict and can change within a few hundred metres. Marmion Marine Park, which runs from Trigg Island to Burns Beach, prohibits spearfishing within 1,800m of the shore and bans it outright in sanctuary zones. Shoalwater Islands Marine Park allows breath-hold spearfishing in the general use zone only — its sanctuary and special purpose zones are closed. Rottnest Island has its own sanctuary zones.
All WA estuaries, rivers and inland waters are closed to spearfishing, including the Peel-Harvey system at Mandurah. Spearfishing on scuba or hookah is prohibited in marine parks.
Zone boundaries move. Before every dive, check the current zoning map on the DBCA Explore Parks site or the DPIRD recreational fishing app and confirm spearfishing is permitted at the exact spot you're entering.
